Background: PLN, Indonesia's state power utility, uses industrial routers to monitor grid data across Java's utility poles. They aim to convert DNP3 to IEC 60870-104 through router
programming.

Benefits: The Milesight UR35 is a programmable industrial router that enables our customers to develop the full DNP3 protocol suite in C++, including events, alarms, control and time synchronization. PLN is very pleased with the setup, which has been tested successfully and reduced the customer's operational costs.
